Apple Walnut Crisp (microwavable)

This is a delicious recipe I found on cooks.com.  It can be prepared in the microvave or oven and it makes a perfect fall dessert or breakfast.

3 lbs apples (I used 4 medium-sized apples)
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup flour (or rolled oats)
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp ginger
4 tbsp butter, cut into 1/4" pieces

Core and slice apples into a 1 1/2 quart baking dish (glass or ceramic if you're using the microwave).  I don't peel the apples, but you can if you prefer.  Toss with lemon juice to coat.  In a bowl, mix walnuts, brown sugar, flour and spices, then add butter and blend with finger tips until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.  Sprinkle crumb mixture over apples.  Cook on high in the microwave for 14-20 min (I cooked for 20 min) or until apples are tender and topping is crispy.  Alternatively, bake at 350 degrees F or 180 degrees C in oven.  Serve warm with a dollop of yogurt if desired.
